First, it provides a brief overview of Cameroon's linguistic history, which is complex and diverse. It further analyses the challenges which translators and interpreters are bond to encounter in conflict areas, thereby appealing for adequate training for military translators and interpreters, for civil-military relations and to better understand cultural sensitivity. The book also examines the importance of translators and interpreters in ensuring that communication is accurate and effective in criminal proceedings, cooperation amongst civilians and military, and ex-combatants in DDR centers. In conclusion, there is the need to invest in the training of military translators and interpreters, not only for English and French languages, but for other lingua franca in Cameroon. For translators and interpreters are peacebuilders for any country in the path for emergence.

Mr. Saron Messembe Obia is a security expert and international consultant. He is a counter-terrorism analyst of Islamic Theology of Counter Terrorism-ITCT, a UK based Counter Islamist Terrorism Think Tank. A Member and Ambassador for the African Continent of Global Socio-Economic and Financial Evolution Network-GSFEN. He has also worked with the International Association for Counter-Terrorism and Security Professional South East Asia-IACSP SEA, as Assistant Editor and IACSP SEA Representative for Cameroon Publication Division. He studied Criminology and Security Management (PGD), Security Studies (MSc) at the Pan African Institute for Development West Africa- PAID-WA and a certified Public Policy Analyst at the Nkafu Policy Institute. He has authored several articles on cyber security, counter-terrorism, stadia security, money laundering, human rights and jihadist tendencies in Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe, as well as books; 'The Criminal Mind in The Age of Globalization', 'What Is Putin Doing? Russia-Ukraine Crisis. Sanctions, Peace and Security in the 21st Century' and 'Jihadist Tendencies in West Africa: Boko Haram's Game - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'.
