The present work is a cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the serum levels of calcium in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, in Khartoum state. This study was done during the period of January to March 2017. The sample size is sixty include both male and female. calcium and Glucose were measured by Spectrophotometer (Bio-system -BTS310). The results showed a significant reduction in the mean of serum calcium level of the diabetic patients (p value 0.000).However there was inverse correlation between the serum calcium and (duration, age) of diabetes mellitus, p.value was (0.000, 0.026) R.value (-0.437, -0.287), respectively conclusion: This study is effect by Age and duration of diabetes in the studied group.
