A total of 116 males with primary infertility attending Kamal Al-Samaraie Hospital, Centre of Infertility and in vitro Fertilization (Baghdad) and Baghdad Teaching Hospital (Infertility Clinic) during the period March - August 2010 were enrolled in this study, in addition to 32 fertile males (controls). Based on clinical examination and general seminal fluid analysis, the patients were distributed into three clinical groups: 32 azoospermic, 40 oligozoospermic and 44 asthenozoospermic patients.
