Known for award-winning documentaries that focus on distinct communities throughout Seattle, Chief Sealth High School's sports and events marketing class began working with South Park residents to bring the community's unique past to life. Led by student Amanda Zahler, resident Anna Marti, and Sealth teacher Gary Thomsen, the class has compiled a pictorial history of one of the most diverse districts in Seattle. Within these pages are rare vintage images gathered from historical societies within Seattle and the personal collections of South Park residents.
