Heidi Clinite (pronounced Hi-D Cly-night) believes in being weird and silly every single day, and having adventures just as often, if possible. Even if it is as simple as opening a book or walking in the neighborhood. Heidi feels that though this story was originally written in 2019 in response to the challenges of caring for her chronically ill husband, it is strongly relevant to everyone's struggles during the 2020 pandemic. The illustrations were created in 2020-2021 with the appreciated support of her patreon members. Heidi is an artist. She works in acrylic paint, pyrography (a.k.a. wood-burning) and collage. Her education and job history includes a Bachelor's of Arts in Music History and Music Theory from Mercer University, study abroad at Oxford University, studying figure drawing at The Art Students' League of New York, apprenticeships with a blacksmith and a gold leaf artist, theatrical backdrop conservation, building sets for Mercer Theatre and Form & Space of NYC, and painting numerous murals.
