Sasha and Tasha, the series, is an extension of Nia Ali's classroom. A high school English teacher, Mrs. Ali witnessed the grave effects of students who had not mastered the skill-set of reading, reading fluency, or reading comprehension, and the tremendous impact it had on her students' lives. Sasha and Tasha was created to help improve reading fluency and comprehension through repetition of phonics, word blends, diphthongs, and practice to struggling readers. The material is culturally competent and provide positive, moral influences within multi-cultural communities.
