Author Christine Miller, at the age of 10, was described in Herb Caen's perennial San Francisco Chronicle column as a "true San Franciscan." Her love for this Bay Area city has guided her into historical preservation efforts, and to work as a volunteer docent for the Mission Dolores and the National Park Service.
