Shain Stodt is an award-winning author and illustrator. Currently, she is writing a series of children's books about a shelter kitten, The Sally Mitts Stories. The series debut story, Sally Mitts Finds a Home (The Story Of A Shy Shelter Kitten) won The Golden Wizard Book Prize. She wrote plays for the Ark Theater in New York City and scripted the screenplay for Isadora Duncan: Spirit of Fire, which premiered at The Museum of the City of New York and aired on public television. Her first horror/fantasy novella, The Bones Beneath The Flesh, became a popular podcast. Shain lives in North Carolina, close to the land and the animals she loves.
