Her highly evocative paintings and drawings are interpretations of images from newspapers and television that range from objective depictions to more poetic compositions. Sabine Moritz (born 1969) is a German artist based in Cologne. Her work is a manifestation of indelible memory and its release, creating works that portray personal and collective histories and a passing of a period in time. She lives with her partner Gerhard Richter.
