Russell Kirk (1918-1994) wrote such seminal books as The Conservative Mind , Eliot and His Age, The Roots of American Order, The American Cause, and The Politics of Prudence, founded the distinguished quarterly journals Modern Age and the University Bookman, and frequently published essays, columns, reviews, and other writings. Charles C. Brown is the archivist at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal in Mecosta, Michigan.
