A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network consists of a number of mobile devices connected via wireless channels. MANETs are highly dynamic In nature where nodes can enter or leave the network at any instance of time. Due to resource and energy constraints, wireless open medium and need of pervasive computing, routing in MANETs becomes a crucial challenge to be addressed. AODV is one of the popular reactive routing protocols for MANETs which has different variants. The primary objective of this book is to study the existing routing protocols and demonstrate the implementation of AODV-UU, a variant of AODV. As most of the existing research works demonstrate the efficiency of a routing protocol via simulations, in this book, we demonstrate the real-world implementation of AODV-UU using APE (Ad-Hoc Protocol Evaluation) testbed. Performance analysis of AODV-UU is carried out using different metrics under varying network conditions. Researchers working in the field of wireless communication would find this book really interesting.
