Author Lou Ellen Watts graduated from Louisiana State University and was an elementary and public school music teacher. She wrote stories, plays and music for her classes and directed and choreographed musicals for her choirs, one of which she took to New York City and performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. When she lived in Tucson, Arizona she conducted an archaeological dig for three years and coauthored ARCHAEOLOGY IS MORE THAN A DIG with the University of Arizona. It was at that time she was listed in several WHO'S WHO publications and featured in several children's magazines. Lou Ellen lives in the country in Franklin, Indiana with her husband, their old English Bulldog and one stray cat. When she's not writing she gardens, sings in the community choir and volunteers for the Johnson County Historical Museum. She and her granddaughter get caught up in the world of make believe and love writing stories about "Once Upon A Time."
