Authors John and Terry Minnis were married in Roseville in 1976 and lived there in their "starter home" for 30 years. Terry grew up in Roseville, having attended elementary, middle, and high school there. John grew up on a farm in the Michigan Thumb. They met in Fraser, Michigan, where they both worked after high school. John is coauthor of Images of America: Michigan State Fair and Images of America: Old Newboys' Goodfellow Fund of Detroit: 100 Years. John and Terry now live in Grosse Pointe Woods, where they publish Grosse Pointe Magazine.
