The C4 plants, like maize, are thought to be little affected by global warming. However, influence of increasing root-zone temperature (RZT) on crop plants has largely been ignored. The RZT plays a vital role in availability of certain nutrients by controlling dynamics of soils reactions. In this book, effect of RZT on zinc requirement of two contrasting maize genotypes is discussed. Further research on nutrient availability to plants under different soil temperature regimes is emphasized. The book is aimed at facilitation of under and post graduate students to plan, conduct and write basic and applied research trials on the same topic.…mehr
