Richard Moe has had a distinguished career in law, politics, and historic preservation. He was the chief of staff to Vice President Walter Mondale and served as a member of Jimmy Carter's senior staff, before working as a partner in a Washington law firm. From 1993 - 2010, he was the president of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He is the author of The Last Full Measure: The Life and Death of the First Minnesota Volunteers and co-author of Changing Places: Rebuilding Community in the Age of Sprawl.
