Autorenporträt
Hector Malot (1830-1907) est un romancier français connu pour son roman " Sans Famille " qui raconte les aventures d'un orphelin appelé Rémi. Dès son plus jeune âge, Hector Malot développe un goût prononcé pour la littérature et la botanique. Contre l'avis de son père, il s'oriente poursuit une carrière littéraire. Son premier roman " Les Amants " connaît un grand succès. En 1878 il publie son chef-d'oeuvre " Sans Famille " puis en 1893, " En famille ". Ses romans sont vivement engagés. Il défend dans bon nombre de ses romans la cause des opprimés et dénonce les inégalités. On le surnomme même " Malot-la-Probité ".
