During the post war period around the world and during the struggle for national freedom in India, women as an oppressed class raised their voice against the injustices waged against them.Thus, the Present Study was conducted on Role of NGOs in Women's Empowerment- A case Study was conducted in Rural Karnataka.

Dr.Vijayalxmi Hegde is an Assistant Professor of Economics in Madawalabu University ( Africa) since 2011. She did her Master and Ph.D from Karnatak University Dharwad, India. Her excellency in Classical Dance (Bharatha Natyam)produced more than 500 stage program and a documentary film on 'Uttara Kannada Namma Mane" for Government of Karnataka.
