Child health protection is one of the significant issues in the literature of health seeking behaviour. Many social scientists have attempted to conduct rigorous studies concerning the issue. Most of their studies conducted in Bangladeshi context are and were related to the policies and measures of early childhood protection and development based on the framework of World Health Organization (WHO) i.e., physical well being, mental well being and social well being of children. Also, the previous studies ignored to explore if the mission and vision of NGOs were implemented or not in the selected study areas. Hence, the present study on "Role of NGOs in Protecting Urban Child Health in Bangladesh: A Case of Dhaka City" has a great significance in understanding if the policies and measures taken by NGOs in Bangladesh are rhetoric or real. However, since the study is conducted on purposive sampling technique, the future researchers are recommended to conduct rigorous studies in this field using probability sampling and thus to move from analyzing child health as a social phenomenon to the sociology of child health in Bangladesh.
