Aminat Tijani erwarb einen MPH-Abschluss an der Universität Liverpool und einen BSc.(Hons) in Biochemie an der Universität Lagos. Aminat Tijani hat Forschungserfahrung in den Bereichen Malaria-Vektoren, HIV und moderne Verhütungsmittel. Derzeit ist sie an der Entwicklung eines neuen Kostenimplementierungsplans (CIP) für die Familienplanung im nigerianischen Bundesstaat Lagos beteiligt.
