The author, Julia Cook, lives in rural Buckinghamshire, where she enjoys the wildlife, gardening, and all things to do with nature. She can often be found in the garden with her cat, Rommy, whom she found as a kitten by a stream in the middle of nowhere and has inspired many of her stories.
