Glenn S. Gordinier teaches history for the Williams College/Mystic Seaport Program in Maritime Studies and for the University of Connecticut. His love of the sea is evident in his career choice, his writing and his many years of surfing. He is also known as a master story teller through his seafarer alter ego, Captain Josiah Gardener.
