Autorenporträt
Haibo Li is a research professor at the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He worked in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore between 1997 and 1999. His research interests are rock mechanics and rock dynamics, shock and impact mechanics, and underground construction technology. Jianchun Li is a professor of geomechanics at Southeast University and a research professor at the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She worked in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and in the Laboratoire de mécanique des roches (LMR) at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) of Switzerland between 2006 and 2010. Her research interests are rock mechanics and dynamics, shock and impact mechanics, protective engineering, and underground technology. She is an Editor-in-chief of Geomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resource, and an Associate Editor of Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering. She has authored/co-authored over 100 publications, including 5 book/edited volumes, and about 50 ISI journal articles. Qianbing Zhang obtained PhD in rock mechanics at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) of Switzerland in 2014. He spent a short period at Cambridge University's Cavendish Laboratory as a visiting research fellow before joining Monash University as a Lecturer on rock mechanics, resources and geological engineering in 2015. His research interests are rock dynamics, fracture mechanics, underground excavation and support. Jian Zhao is a professor of rock mechanics at Monash University since 2013, a Fellow of the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM) since 2015, and the Editor-in-Chief of Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology since 2001. After obtaining a PhD on rock mechanics at Imperial College London in 1987, he was on the faculty of Nanyang Technological University of Singapore for 15 years and then a professor of rock mechanics and tunnelling at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne of Switzerland for 10 years. He teaches and researches rock mechanics and underground technology at universities and practises geotechnical and underground engineering through consulting. He has supervised over 40 PhDs and authored/co-authored over 350 publications, including 15 book/edited volumes, and about 150 ISI journal articles. He has been actively involved in professional societies and industry, including serving as an independent director of a listed company in Singapore, on the Executive Board of the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA) and a Vice President of the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM).
