In the 1921 Alberta general election Eaton would be defeated by George Forster from the United Farmers of Alberta. Eaton would attempt to run for a seat in the Canadian House of Commons running in the 1925 Canadian federal election. He would be defeated by Incumbent member Robert Gardiner.
