High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Archduke Robert Karl Ludwig Maximilian Michael Maria Anton Franz Ferdinand Joseph Otto Hubert Georg Pius Johannes Marcus d'Aviano of Austria-Este (Schonbrunn, 8 February 1915 - Basel, 7 February 1996), Prince Imperial of Austria, Prince Royal of Hungary, Bohemia and Croatia was born as the second son of Karl I of Austria and Princess Zita. None of his titles were recognised in Austria or in Hungary, where he was referred to as Robert Habsburg or Robert Habsburg-Lothringen, which is his legal name. (See Austrian nobility). On 16 April 1917, at the age of two, Robert was created Archduke of Austria-Este by his father, the Emperor. Archduke Robert thereby succeeded his relative, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria (1863-1914), who had held the titles of Austria-Este since 1875. Through his mother Zita (a great-granddaughter of Teresa of Savoy who was daughter of Teresa of Modena who was daughter of Mary Beatrice d'Este and Archduke Ferdinand of Austria), Archduke Robert happened to be a descendant of Ercole III d'Este and thus the blood of last Este dukes joined with the name Austria-Este.
