Bina Chandrasekhara, M.B.A., has dedicated most of her professional life volunteering in school and community activities such as Maryland Food Bank, where she served as chairperson and the Wicomico County Medical Alliance, where she served as president. For eight consecutive years she has been committed to her children's high school experience, dealing first-hand with the daunting, yet gratifying challenges of college admissions, in which time she has gained an enormous wealth of knowledge about the intricacies of the admissions process. Vinay Chandrasekhara is a medical student at the University of Virginia, where he serves as the vice-president of his class and is a member of the basic science curriculum committee. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a member of the freshman heavyweight crew team and a volunteer at a local public elementary school; he coordinated student volunteers for the Boston Marathon and organized campus-wide service events to help the homeless. Sheila Chandrasekhara is majoring in government at Harvard College where she is an active member of the Mock Trial team and is involved in the community service program City Step, which is a program that teaches children self-expression and self-confidence through dance. She is a recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award and has founded the Youth Foundation Fund in her hometown of Salisbury, Maryland, the mission of which is to help children by creating awareness of giving and by establishing and supporting organizations that promote youth betterment.
