In present lifestyle, nobody can think of a single day without mobile phones, tablets and Wi-Fi routers for voice and data services. With the increased demand of voice and data services, a significant growth is observed in number of wireless communication towers along with base station antennas. In present lifestyle, nobody can think of a single day without mobile phones, tablets and Wi-Fi routers for voice and data services. With the increased demand of voice and data services, a significant growth is observed in number of wireless communication towers along with base station antennas. Those base station antennas transmit radio frequency (RF) energy as per different international/national RF exposure regulatory guidelines (as provided by ICNIRP/FCC etc). All plants and fruits are exposed to RF energy from those base station towers 24x365 hours in a year without any discontinuity. Plants and fruits have large amount of water and ionic contents; therefore they have high permittivity and conductivity that result in huge amount of energy absorption within them while exposed to RF radiation. In this book, specific absorption rate (SAR) has been estimated in several fruits due to plane wave exposure as per ICNIRP guidelines in separate electromagnetic environments. SAR is also estimated in those fruits at several distances from shared telecom tower. Dielectric properties of different plant and animal tissues are also demonstrated in this book.
