NANCY FLINCHBAUGH writes as a spiritual practice. She completed training with the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation and leads contemplative retreats and groups. She is a certified labyrinth facilitator with Veriditas, a labyrinth organization. After completing a degree in religion and sociology from Otterbein College and a master's in education from the University of Texas at San Antonio, she has worked for local government since 1994, coordinating mediation, fair housing and intercultural programming. She lives in Springfield, Ohio, with her husband, Steve, and cat, Emily Rose.
