This book focuses on the various aspects of patient dental care in case of such pandemic disease outbreaks, making the dentist better prepared to provide dental care in the patient's best interest during such outbreaks. It would elaborate on the recommendations/guidelines of screening patients,application of strict infection control procedures, use of personal protective equipment,giving priority for treatment of urgent/emergency dental cases,pharmacological management when possible, adoption of preventive measures,such as minimum use of aerosol-generating procedures and applicationof rubber dam and new approaches such as tele dentistry that will help dentists provide dental care without adding to the risk of cross infection while performing the restorative and endodontic procedures.
