A field experiment entitled "Response of Kharif forage sorghum genotypes to fertilizer levels" was conducted during Khaif season of 2020 at AICSIP Sorghum Research Station, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krushi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani (Maharashtra). There were 12 treatments consisting of combinations of three levels of fertilizer i.e. 100% RDF (80:40:40 NPK ha-1), 125% RDF (100:50:50 NPK ka ha-1) and 150% RDF (120:60:60 NPK ha-1) in main plots and four genotypes i.e. CSV 40F (SPV 2387), PVR 964, CSV 21F, CSV 30F in sub plots. The soil was medium deep black and well drained. The topography of the exper...

The soil was medium deep black and well drained. The topography of the experimental field was fairly uniform and leveled. The soil of the experimental plot was clayey in texture, low in nitrogen, medium in available phosphorus, high in available potassium and slightly exchangeable sodium. The mean maximum and minimum temperature prevailed during crop growing season was 35.80C and 16.40C respectively. The maximum and minimum mean relative humidity was 90 and 26 percent respectively. The total rainfall during the experimental period was 320 mm which were spread over 21 rainy days. In general, the climatic conditions were favorable for the Kharif sorghum growth.
