These patients could be submitted to invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) due to changes in respiratory mechanics. The physiotherapeutic approach using the ZEEP maneuver in IMV patients aims to enhance airway hygiene, promote more effective aspiration and improve lung ventilation.
