Filippo Imbesi, Architekt und Wissenschaftler, hat in vielen Gebieten des Nordostens Siziliens historisch-archäologische Forschungen und Erkundungen durchgeführt. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Veröffentlichungen in verschiedenen Fachgebieten (Bergung von Baudenkmälern und verschütteten Strukturen, Paläographie, christliche Archäologie und Untersuchungen antiker Siedlungen).
