In the regions of the Russian Federation, the problems of social disadaptation in most families and the stabilisation of family relations, which have a major impact on the socialisation of the younger generation, have become acute. When considering the possibility of using those or other already developed programmes aimed at improving the atmosphere in the sphere of family and domestic relations, it is very important to take into account the specific, national, demographic, structural features of the region, which largely determine its specificity. In this regard, the importance of identifying regional peculiarities, studying modern conditions of functioning of family and marriage, the study of trends and development is determined. In view of these circumstances, it is important to turn to the criminological characteristics of crime in the sphere of family and domestic relations in such region as the Republic of Dagestan. Regional, territorial, national and religious differences of crime in this subject of the Russian Federation have long attracted the attention of criminologists.
