This is a lively and beautifully illustrated children's guide to the life and work of the French Impressionist painter Pierre Auguste Renoir. 'I'm like a little cork thrown into the water and carried away by the current, I paint whatever comes to me. I do not have any rules, nor techniques ....' This is what Renoir tells us about himself. Renoir was a painter who believed in doing his own thing and his portraits of young girls and children and his sunny landscapes are filled with joy and light.
