Completó su formación universitaria en la Universidad Técnica de Estambul, Ingeniería de Petróleo y Gas Natural. Posteriormente, cursó un máster en la Universidad Técnica de Gebze, en Ingeniería de Sistemas Energéticos. Es autor de numerosos artículos y libros locales e internacionales en los campos de la optimización energética, las fuentes de energía renovables y la interconectividad.
