A collection of 26 poems about relaxing when you can, rebuffing others when you need to, and reminiscing all of the time. These are not the kinds of poems that go stanza after stanza without actually saying anything, nor are they the kinds of poems that have really weird enjambments (except a couple, but it's nothing too crazy). These poems aren't about unnecessarily serious topics in an unnecessarily serious tone. If you're a fan of naps, the feeling of taking off slightly-soggy socks when you get home from work, or the jubilation when someone else cancels plans which were getting in the way of you doing nothing at all, then these poems will hit home.…mehr

Autorenporträt
Tyler attended Catholic school from kindergarten through college, so he's had a thorough grounding in penmanship, grammar, and composition. He was raised in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, which is the birthplace of cable TV (you're welcome, btw). He attended a college you've never heard of in the middle of nowhere in eastern PA and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After teaching for 3 years in a local Catholic school, he left for greener pastures and greener paychecks in Virginia where he is currently teaching 5th grade. He misses the sunsets, mountains, and back country roads through farmland that PA offered. He is critically and overwhelmingly aware of the pieces of local history that he shares space with, and always wants to make sure that everything gets its proper amount of appreciation and veneration. This includes sunsets, architecture, cats, nice butts, altruistic effort put forward by others to be good for goodness' sake, alarm-less naps, and grilled cheese sandwiches. He had a girlfriend once in high school for 4 weeks, but that was about it. He is writing this himself, and finds it odd to speak in the 3rd person like he's The Rock or something.
