Produktbeschreibung
Drawn from the 11 stories of the Mabinogi (medieval Welsh prose) as well as from the contentious figure of King Arthur, these poems bring brevity and clarity to the tales without subtracting their unsettling power. Based on the medieval manuscripts known today as "the Red Book of Hergest" and "the White Book of Rhydderch," this poetry collection is not a reinterpretation, but a reimagining, inspired by the original source material. As it captures the elusive essence of these characters, their mysterious passions, and their sometimes violent and often strange adventures, this compilation also delves into themes of love, betrayal, friendship, kinship, and the vexed question of leadership.
