Autorenporträt
April Hendrickson has never written or illustrated a children's book before this project. She is a 68 years young lady. Her home burned to the ground one year ago, so April and her dog, Roscoe, lived in a hotel room for eight months. When she could not sleep, she drew. April Hendrickson has a background in art, but these illustrations are intentionally childlike to show children that they can draw the same sort of pictures as they see inside this book.
