Die eigene Stimme finden, sich gegen Fremdzuschreibungen wehren, die eigene Version der Geschichte, die eigene Geschichte erzählen: Kathleen Hanna könnte ein Lied davon singen. Und sie hat - als Frontfrau der legendären Punk-Band Bikini Kill und von Le Tigre - durchaus Lieder davon gesungen, mit Titeln wie "Don't Need You". Sie hat zwischen den Liedern und in selbst gebastelten Zines davon erzählt. Jetzt hat sie sogar ein Buch darüber geschrieben. Gerade ist Kathleen Hannas Autobiographie "Rebel Girl - My Life as a Feminist Punk" bei Ecco Press erschienen.
In einem auf Instagram veröffentlichten Kurzvideo zeigt sich Kathleen Hanna begeistert - nicht einzig über die Veröffentlichung ihres Buchs, sondern über gleich neun Bücher, die annähernd zeitgleich erschienen sind, ihren Namen tragen und vorgeben, ihre Lebensgeschichte zu erzählen. Der Einsatz Künstlicher Intelligenz bei der Textproduktion macht es möglich, und das von Amazon betriebene Programm Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) bringt es unter die Leute.
Das diffizile Verhältnis von Persönlichkeiten und den Büchern, die über sie geschrieben werden, zeigt sich an den feinen Unterscheidungen von autorisierten und unautorisierten Biographien. Die einen leben von der Nähe zu den Porträtierten, übertroffen einzig von Autobiographien, bei denen die Leute gleich selbst aus ihrem Leben berichten. Die anderen können mögliche Nachteile im Quellenzugang zuweilen dadurch ausgleichen, dass sie ungeschönt und ungeschützt auch ansprechen können, worüber die Persönlichkeit selbst gern schwiege. Die Form der Biographie ist aus guten Gründen nicht geschützt. Wer sich verunglimpft sieht, muss eben den Rechtsweg wählen - ein Verfahren, das sich im Einzelfall bewährt hat. Und vor dem Zeitalter der maschinellen Textproduktion und -distribution in Höchstgeschwindigkeit waren Persönlichkeitsrechte verletzende Bücher Einzelfälle.
Das hat sich durch die allgemeine Zugänglichkeit von KI-Modellen wie ChatGPT geändert. Und es wird von allgemein zugänglichen Distributionsplattformen wie KDP nicht verhindert: Hier gestatten die Teilnahmebedingungen ausdrücklich das Hochladen maschinell erzeugter Bücher. Amazon bittet in diesem Fall lediglich um einen freundlichen Hinweis. Und hat sich im Herbst zu einer Eindämmung der Veröffentlichungsflut entschlossen: Seitdem dürfen über jedes einzelne Benutzerkonto nur noch täglich drei neue Bücher hochgeladen werden.
In ihrem Instagram-Video freut sich Kathleen Hanna schon auf die Lektüre von Büchern wie "Kathleen Hanna - The Biography" von KH Press, "Kathleen Hanna - Breaking Barriers, Breaking Silence" von Maurie Putella und "A Punk Feminist Queen in the Spotlight" von Charles Bruner. Wer weiß, was sie daraus noch alles über ihr eigenes Leben lernen kann? Gut gelaunt verspricht sie, alle diese Bücher zu lesen und ihren Followern davon zu berichten.
