Prof. Tobias Just is Managing Director at the IREBS Immobilienakademie and professor for real estate at the University of Regensburg, Germany. Prof. Just studied economics in Hamburg and Uppsala (Sweden). For more than ten years he worked at Deutsche Bank Research, the economics research unit of Deutsche Bank. He headed the units' sector and real estate research team and was a member of Deutsche Bank's group wide Environmental Steering Committee. In summer 2006 he was Research Fellow at the American Institute of Contemporary German Studies at the Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC. Tobias Just published more than 80 papers in professional and academic journals and books and three books on various real estate topics. Since November 2011 he has been Managing Director at the IRE BS Immobilienakademie and has a chair for Real Estate at the University of Regensburg. He is Vice-President of the German Association of Real Estate Researchers (gif), a member of the Board of the German Corporate Governance Initiative for the real estate industry and member of the Executive Management Board of the German section of the Urban Land Institute. Dr. Hermann Stapenhorst is a lawyer and notary. Dr. Hermann Stapenhorst has been partner of the German law firm CMS Hasche Sigle since 1995. His main area of practice is advising national and international real estate owners, investors and project developers on real estate transactions. His advisory services comprise all issues related to commercial real estate law as well as private construction law and investment law with a particular focus on the hotel industry and operator-run properties. Between 2009 and 2012 he was head of the international CMS Sector Group Hotel and Leisure; from 1999 to 2009 he was head of the CMS real estate department. In 1997, he was appointed as a notary. He is a member of the international CMS practice group Real Estate and Construction. Dr. Hermann Stapenhorst has been a member of the executive board of the Berlin Lawyers' Pension Fund since 2006 and, as president, has also been responsible for real estate investments. At the IRE/BS International Real Estate Business School he gives lectures on legal due diligence and sales contract law.
