This book explores the use of nurses as gate-keepers of primary health care, as well as identifying if these gate-keepers are well equipped to providing a holistic health care most particularly mental health care. The book discusses the capability and skills the nurses have in order to identify and manage minor mental health problems that are presented in their community clinics as well as health centres.
Autorenporträt
is a trained counselling psychologist. She has developed a broad range of skills through working at the university(UKZN) where she was involved in student development & counselling. Has been involved in a number of government projects such as the Gauteng Health 15 year review, other project include the assessment of the HIV/AIDS program in Gauteng.
