Autorenporträt
Matilda Lee was born in a Dover, Delaware, farmhouse in 1927, the second of 11 children, 3 step siblings and 3 half siblings. She and her family experienced the struggles of the Great Depression. She married in 1948, and in 1951, moved with her husband to Stuarts Draft, Virginia in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. She currently lives in the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community, enjoying and painting the beautiful valley and Blue Ridge mountains.
