Simply put, I'm a full-time fire fighter, husband, father of four, Army vet, and a guy with a dream. My dream is to one day become a well known children's author. As a kid, I never saw any children's books about black families. So my focus is to create stories and characters that kids of color can relate to. A lot of the stories I write are stories created right at home. When I'm at home playing with my kids and we're fighting aliens or out-running monsters, we're essentially creating stories. After we're done playing, I write them down on paper.
