Paul D. Shannon has been following his interest in Britain's railways, particularly in freight and infrastructure, since the early 1970s. In the years since then he has photographed much of the country's railway network. He has written over 30 books on a variety of railway subjects as well as numerous magazine articles and video scripts. This is his first book for Amberley Publishing.
