Quantum Narratives offers varying length stories and musings, delicately voiced through metered poetry. Carried by a shrewd assignment of broad-spectrum metaphors and metaphysical embellishments, day-to-day motifs elevate to visionary. The goal is feeling, where, owing to poetic density, the final draft transcends the words used to express it (as a symphony endeavors to mature beyond the sum of its individual notes). Works range from 45 to 3675 words and themes include: heartbreak, nature, love, euphemistic eroticism, philosophy, afterlife, passion, destiny, intangible beauty, and death (death of a loved one, pet, or concept). Here's an excerpt from an erotic poem/fable, titled Memo in the Sand: Trafficking beauty ~ across dwindling space Four eyes (in contract) ~ trade passionate stares Mediating looks ~ 'tween my sight, her face Where milk-white features ~ vend prettified wares As a peacock hawks ~ the spectrum it bears Her stillness campaigns ~ vanishing twilight To nominate night's ~ deep blue complexion And chaperons time ~ far beyond midnight To later cast votes ~ for Sun's resurrection Or ballot for dawn's ~ young re-election Disembarking there ~ petitioned her name Yet, without reply ~ she and I became
Autorenporträt
A Bit about Me I grew up on the south shore of Long Island, 1-mile from an ocean and a 45-minute train ride to New York City. NYC: museums, concert halls, cathedrals, Greenwich Village, stadia, the MET, the Hayden Planetarium, and a mosaic of architectural focal points. Given its proximity to NYC, LI offers a similar assortment of arts, sports, and music. There was plenty to do, and naturally, these activities easily escort a youth into maturity. In me, a few ripened, and now, decades later, I have a somewhat colorful history in arts, sciences, and trades. Along with common English, these "areas of interest" enjoy proprietary terminologies, from which, time-to-time, I "borrow", like when writing poetry. Here's a bit about me and a few of the disciplines, from where I harvest thoughts and words, I: o Venerate the Sun o Am flawed (but that's its own book) o Play guitar and know a bit of music theory o Dabbled in Real Estate/Homebuilding o Wear mostly black clothing o Co-owned a gymnastics and ballet school o Grew up on a diet of astute proverbs o Distill my own water/drink organic green juice/am a vegetarian (nearly 30-years) o Majored in Theoretical Physics at Adelphi University (I am not a Physicist) o Believe the Sphinx was carved before the last ice-age ended o Work/worked as a CNC programmer and draftsman o Am a master of nothing o Learned a little Martial arts o Do Rubick's Cube/Revenge (they keep the brain supple) o Think the James Ossuary has a story for the world o Owned a small architectural woodworking company o Still appreciate tokens of influence, by certain family members, no longer casting shadows; they were Mensans o Studied classical ballet from André Eglevsky and other Russian greats (this was about 40-pounds ago) o Love fresh bread and exotic cuisine o Am feverishly curious So, if ya' ever meet me, and are at a loss for words, I invite you to strike up a chat on anything above. I'd enjoy it! Love to all - Benjamin
