Autorenporträt
Dawoud Kringle is a New York City based musician, writer, and artist. If music could be defined, it would be World Jazz Electronica Fusion. It's a jazz experience from an other-worldly realm, with a Downbeat / electronica edge; and his work on the sitar and dilruba earned a reputation as 'The Jimi Hendrix of the sitar.' He has performed in the US and Europe, appeared on many recordings, composed for film, theater, and dance performances, and conducts music meditation sessions, wherein he guides group meditation using musical form and sound. Kringle is an accomplished writer / novelist who writes for several online publications, wrote a Sufi Science Fiction novel A QUANTUM HIJRA (publsihed by Leilha Publications). His first book has been compared to Dune and Shrodigger's Cat, and is, in the realm of Islam influenced science fiction, considered unique. His second release, A MANSION WITH MANY ROOMS is a collection of short stories and poetry that explore the multidimensional spiritualism of Islam / Sufism from a new perspective. Another Sufi science fiction novel and a textbook on music are in the works. His visual art works have been displayed at openings such as the event ON THE INNER AND OUTER WORLDS; curated by Openings Collective, and hosted at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in NYC. His works grace the covers of A QUANTUM HIJRA and A MANSION WITH MANY ROOMS.
