Produktbeschreibung
The book was designed to investigate and identify the efficiency of the public surveillance devices in the UK in fostering security and the level it infringes the right to privacy. On the one hand, the more technology develops, the more significant becomes the right to privacy and on the other hand, the more security is placed as a national priority, the more privacy as a fundamental human right shall be protected. The analysis of the European legislation illustrates the issues dealt within the right to privacy and possible interpretative measures if placed in the context of security. The aim of the book is not to weight security vs. privacy issues, but rather to find the proper rules applicable for their coherent implementation by fostering security and guaranteeing the right to privacy in the UK. But, how much privacy shall be given to the individual and how much to society?
