Rossano is Professor of Psychology at Southeastern Louisiana University, USA, where he studies the evolution of ritual, religion, and cooperation. His past books include Ritual in Human Evolution and Religion , Handbook of Cognitive Archaeology, Supernatural Selection: How Religion Evolved, and Mortal Rituals.
