Autorenporträt
Dr Aruna Pal is an Assistant Professor at West Bengal University of Animal Fishery Sciences, India. She has served as a Scientist & Convener, Human Genetics Task Force at the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. She has also worked as a Veterinary Officer at the Govt. of West Bengal and headed the Quality Control Laboratory, Frozen Semen Bull Station, PBGSBS (under the Central Project for Cattle Buffalo Breeding Programme, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India).  She was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) for pursuing her M.V.Sc, and a Senior Research Fellowship (Indian Veterinary Research Institute) for pursuing her Ph.D.  She has published 21 research papers in highly reputed journals, 2 books, 6 book chapters, 66 gene bank accession numbers (NCBI) and 18 research reviews. A pioneer in the documentation of new breeds of sheep, buffalo and duck from the State of West Bengal, India, she isalso an active member of nine scientific societies. She has been the Principal Investigator and co-Principal Investigator for three and six research projects, respectively.
