This work tries to bring more familiarity to a new approximation method in Quantum Mechanics(QM) namely the Variationally Improved Perturbation Theory(VIPT).The effectiveness of the method is shown through certain applications within a QCD potential model with success.This very method is quite useful in solving the Schroedinger Equation of QM and thus can be handy for any domain of Physics where this basic equation is involved. We hope that this approach will generate curiosity amongst the fraternity thus making it a step ahead.
