The Nabitenga valley, located between the Nakamtenga reservoir upstream and the Nabitenga reservoir downstream, is experiencing excessive erosion leading to gullies and indurations, thereby accelerating the silting up of the Nabitenga reservoir. Produktbeschreibung
The Nabitenga valley, located between the Nakamtenga reservoir upstream and the Nabitenga reservoir downstream, is experiencing excessive erosion leading to gullies and indurations, thereby accelerating the silting up of the Nabitenga reservoir. Following this observation, the Association Générale des Intervenants Retraités (AGIR), decided to bring its assistance to this rural community for the hydro-agricultural development by the spreading sills upstream of a micro-dam. The objective of the present work is to propose different types of development capable of providing solutions to the problems diagnosed in order to slow down erosion, increase the water capacity of the soils, promote the rise of the water table, improve agricultural production and productivity, etc. To do this, the analysis of "Google Earth" images of the valley, a quick survey of a purposive sample and field work allowed us to diagnose the Nabitenga valley and to determine its morphometric and hydrological characteristics. Following the diagnosis, the types of suitable development are a series of six (06) flood spreading sills, a series of four (04) filter dams
